Spine Surgery
At St. Louis Spine Care Alliance, we always look at conservative, nonsurgical approaches for spine injuries and
disorders. These include medication management, injection therapy and physical therapy. In the event that these treatments don’t help alleviate pain and restore function, surgical intervention may be recommended. Our board-certified orthopaedic spine surgeons only recommend surgery in a limited number of cases. In fact, less than 10% of our patients require surgery.
Today’s medical technology has advanced to the point where many of the surgeries we perform can be done more quickly, more easily and with greater outcomes than ever before. Whenever possible, we perform minimally invasive procedures that offer less scarring and quicker recovery times. Most out patient surgeries are performed at Frontenac Surgery & Spine Care Center or Spine & Orthopaedic Surgery Center.
After surgery, what you want most is a quick, successful recovery. To give you the best possible rehabilitative results, we’ll assess your needs as well as the unique aspects of your condition following surgery. We’ll develop an integrated and conservative rehabilitation program based on your specific condition with the primary goal of helping you maximize function. By coordinating your postsurgical rehabilitation with a physical therapist, we can help you recover, get back to function and prevent reinjury.
