Nonsurgical Spine Care
At St. Louis Spine Care Alliance.
Each year, millions of Americans experience pain as a result of injury, strain, overuse or aging. But back pain is
often a symptom of a disorder of the spine. Some of the most common disorders are herniated disc, spinal stenosis/nerve root compression, sciatica and vertebral slippage (spondylolisthesis). The pain caused by spine disorders can range in severity and greatly affect your quality of life. The good news is the majority of spine pain cases can be successfully treated with conservative therapies. At St. Louis Spine Care Alliance, we offer comprehensive care for spine-related pain and always look at nonsurgical treatment options first.
Our team includes Dr. Patricia A. Hurford, who is a board-certified physical medicine and rehabilitation specialist. Dr. Hurford has extensive training and experience in rehabilitation for spine-related problems. She can help relieve your pain and return you to your normal function using today’s most advanced nonsurgical therapies. These include medication management and injection therapy. For optimal results, you may be referred to a physical therapist after treatment.
If you are experiencing spine pain or if you have not responded well to other treatments and therapies, you may experience significant pain relief through Dr. Hurford’s nonsurgical therapies and personalized care. Once a diagnosis is made, she will recommend the most appropriate treatment for your individual needs. Surgery with one of our board-certified orthopaedic surgeons is only looked at as a last resort.
